RANTS and STUFF - 7/017/02
BEN - I’m sorry to report that Teenage wasteland will be on hiatus for a while. I’m not sure when it will come back to life but please check back once a week or so. Carl wants to wait untill he gets a new computer so he can do more work on everythign then just drawing. I'm sorry for any fans we have already but it's better then never having it again. And as fore the picture, it should show what kind of drawing skills I have. It's not finished but the best pciture fore the job at hand.v Hope to see you all soon.
June 24, 2002 (From Carl) - Great news! I finally discovered how to fix this annoying build-up on the main page. It should be clearing out soon, as all these lil rants will be running off to join their respective comics. Also, we're awaiting approval for a forum. Keep an eye out for big page changes in the near future.
June 15, 2002 (From Carl - 6:00am) - As Mike said yesterday, God Doth Frown Upon Me. Okay, here's the deal: I had a nasty incident yesterday where I was kicked out of the place I was living (no I didn't do anything, that's what made it so unexpected). Had to pack all my stuff in my car (minus the stuff they 'lost' the day before) and head over here to Mike's. I should have a place to stay, but all of the tools I'd just gotten used to using to manage the site (Windows XP's Paint, Photoshop) are no longer available to me. I will try to work something out with Ben to get comics 5, 6, and 7 ready (4 is already done and uploaded) before next Wednesday. But this will be the big concern, so little to no time will probably be spent on fixing up the site (namely fixing the clutter on this main page). Gomen! *sigh* But C'est la vie.
June 11, 2002 (From Carl - 10:33pm) - Comic number two ready to go up. I haven't, however, made an archive page or daily archive template. Gomen! I hope Keenspace doesn't freak about me not having them... anyway I hope to get that done soon. Need a webpage builder program first.
June 9, 2002 (From Carl - 10:00pm) - Awww CRAP. So just as I'm about to get everything ready for the first comic I realize my evaluation copy of Dreamweaver MX ran out. Back to doing things by hand...and it's made worse by the fact that Dreamweaver filled the file with unmanageable gobs of code that make no sense. But the show must go on! The comic will be done on schedule, and hopefully even in color (Ben's work). From here on we hope to be consistent every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
June 1, 2002 (From Carl) - Things are moving along. I have two comics drawn and a third started, so it might not be long before they start popping up on the site. But we still have to figure out the whole scanning/cleaning up process, so I'm not sure how long it'll take. So I started putting up some reviews I've been writing during school. They are a little one-sided now but Mike and Ben might finally decide to add their sections to some of them one of these days.
